The Dental Hygienist must adhere to all CDC, OSHA and safety policies and procedures. The ideal Hygiene candidate should possess superior knowledge of dentistry and dental terminology, a friendly, outgoing demeanor and excellent organizational skills
• Perform dental prophylaxis, periodontal scaling, root planning, and debridement. • Apply fluoride and sealants. • Evaluate overall health and educate patients on preventive care, outcomes and oral hygiene. • Maintain patient electronic dental records. • Take diagnostically acceptable digital radiographs. • Follow practice protocols: quality assurance, infection control, charting, periodontal program, caries risk assessment and emergency treatment. • Stock required supplies and maintain your equipment. • Ability to build rapport with patient’s • Good manual dexterity • Computer proficiency • Ability to work a flexible schedule; 1-2 nights per week (as late as 7:00pm) & 1 Saturday a month from 8:00am – 1:00pm
