My name is Dr. Bruce Cochrane. I am a periodontist who trained in the 70’s and I have a certificate in both periodontics and fixed prosthetics. 

I am looking for an experienced, self-motivated, gregarious, enthusiastic, and presentable applicant to join our team as an Associate Periodontist. The most important characteristics of a potential employee are a mature, positive, fun, hard-working, loyal, and enthusiastic personality with the ability to maintain an optimistic outlook while multi-tasking.

 I practice in northwest Iowa and I am sneaking up on 70. I have reached the point where I would like to sell my practice and retire or even work with an associate for a period of time until they were comfortable enough to buy the practice. I am looking for a graduate student or periodontist who isinterested in practicing in the upper Midwest. Last year my practice grossed approximately 1.8 million. Seventy percent of that gross was implant related, twenty percent was hygiene maintenance related and ten percent was periodontics. The periodontics was predominantly soft tissue surgeries. I am the only periodontist in my region of the state so I cover an area that is approximately 100 miles in any direction. My referral base is approximately 320,000. I have about seventy dentist who refer to me on a regular basis. I live in a town of about 28,000 and I satellite into two different communities of about 15,000.

I have reached the point where I would like to bring an associate in or sell my practice. I have a very busy practice with a large hygiene base. I currently gross about 1.8 million with the practice and have about a 540,000 per annum hygiene base. Probably 60 percent of my practice is implant related. I placed 365 implants in the past year. The practice is available for a practitioner looking for the prime opportunity without having to go through the rigors of financing! The individual would take over the responsibility of providing periodontal care and maintaining one of the larger practices in the Midwest.
