Program Overview: A new Chairside Recruitment Program is being developed in partnership between American Dental Hygienists’ Association and the Delta Dental Foundation. This initiative aims to build awareness of the dental hygiene profession among populations currently underrepresented in the field. The goal is to diversify the dental hygiene workforce and address widespread shortages nationwide. The program will train and develop dental hygiene ambassadors who will in turn help practitioners connect with patients who may be strong candidates for becoming dental hygienists – but who haven’t otherwise been exposed to or considered it as a potential career path.
